When creating requires letting our masks fall
In this article I share how creating requires letting our masks fall and how absolutely scary that all is.
Do you have that idea, that thing, that you want to bring to life? But the moment you are about to click "submit" or "publish", you won't do it? Something holds you back and you start to shiver, your mouth becomes dry and you are experiencing a flow of thoughts that question all that you have ever wanted to create?
This is so scary. This feeling of sharing what you have created and bringing it to the world: "what if someone judges it?", "what if they don't like it?", "what if there is nothing I can do?", "what if they like something else?". The result? You don't share it - what you have created stays within you and what you waited to share is not share.
You are hiding what you have created because you fear people will laugh at you and they will tell jokes about you, they will treat you badly and they will push you aside.
You will become a nobody, not seen, not loved, not taken for a real human being.
This is such a hurtful moment, one that leads you to hide and disappear even more. When the one thing failed to be seen, why would the other one do that? They will do the same, they will feel the same and you are exposed to the dangers of the world.
And again will you hide.
Over time your creations will die with you. Each and every time you create something and don't share it with the people you want to create it for, a part from within will die with you.
And that is so sad, as all your creations, all your being, all that is within will never been seen, will never see the day of light. Simply because it is so difficult to press that button and share what is truly and uniquely yours, what you have created, what comes from within yourself.
The float of ideas, the creations of your mind, the poems of the night and the creative worlds of your emotions. The energy that stays inside, hidden in the world of the self-sabotage you do to yourself, and there until one day you say "I will be gone and never ward seen again", and your creations, your expressions, your being will die with it.
Is that what you want? Is that what you lived for? Is that the real you that wants to have lived that way? Does it make you proud?
You don't know, but if it hasn't made you proud till now, there is a good chance it won't do make you proud in the future if you do not change something.
But what to change?
The very essence of how you treat your creations, your being, your way of life. Treat them as your creations, treat them with dignity, value them, be aware of the beauty of them, and the joy you experienced creating them.
the joy looks for a mirror and the beauty looks for a match. What is beauty in the beholder when the beholders does not know? What is joy when it is not shared?
Go and share it with someone. You do not need to share it with everyone, not with the wide world. Share it small and careful, with the one or two people you trust. See what they feel, if it resonates with them. Then maybe you are able to share it with more.
But you also do not share it with more. Share it with those people you want to. You brought it to the world. Now you can create something anew.
You finished the cycle, you shared your work, it is not hidden anymore, it is in the wide wide world. And someone, somewhere, will profit from your work - they will smile, be inspired, joyful or challenged. They connect with what you did. And they will treasure that moment in their hearts.
The result? You will have treated your soul. Your creation. Your being. You have shared what was within. And purely your act of creation and sharing was all that was needed to set yourself free and set a seed in another people's life.
What are you waiting for? Press that button, talk to a friend and share what you created with them. How does it feel? Are you proud? Then go and do it again.
